Dark Lord Day Tickets Info

Tickets are $10.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 19th at 1pm.

Tickets will be sold through an online ticket broker.

The link to the ticket site  will be posted midday on the 19th on our blog, Facebook, and Twitter.

Tickets will be required to attend.  Police will be enforcing a no loitering policy in the industrial park.

The admission ticket also guarantees your allotment of Darklord during sales hours.

You can buy two tickets per person, but remember tickets are admission tickets as well, and allocation is per person not number of tickets.

When purchasing tickets there will be three time options for bottle sales.  (morning, afternoon and late afternoon)

    Yahoo!

  2. Dave T says:

Sweet improvements… last year was chaotic. Hope to get a ticket.

Is there a limit to how many tickets people can buy online? I might have to buy one for a friend.

  3. Rich Rosell says:

Can’t wait (to buy my tickets)!

  4. Dan says:

So just to confirm if I’m reading it correct. We can buy 2 tickets, but regardless of if we buy 1 or 2 we get the same allotment of bottles? So the advantage to buying 2 tickets is to bring a friend who couldn’t get a ticket themselves?

  5. admin says:

    You got it.

  6. Ken says:

Is it still Dark Lord Day or is it just an opportunity to buy some Dark Lord? Will there still be the guest brew tent?

  7. Ed says:

So this admin ticket is the gold ticky also? No ticky no beery?

  8. RandalG says:

What does a no loitering policy mean. I hope if you have a ticket you can spend the day like before and not just get your beer and have to leave.

  9. Eddie says:

So no ticky, no beery. Dear dark lord I will be watching that afternoon for the post! Sweet.

  10. jon says:

So if someone buys tickets for each time slot, they can get 3x the amount of DarkLord?

  11. John T says:

Can you/will you be providing more information on the “no loitering” policy? Does this mean that you are only supposed to get your beer and go? Last year there was the craft beer tent, bands, etc.

  12. Dan says:

So does that friend you bought the ticket for get an allocation or only the person that bought the ticket?

Also, are the tickets going to be transferrable or will someone else be able to use a ticket you bought?

  13. DLFan says:

Your “authorities” cannot stop my ascension! You are NOT prepared!!

Kidding aside, the change to require tickets just to get on the property is sad and unwelcome. I was unable to acquire a golden ticket last year but showed up anyway to take a chance. I stood in line like an adult and patiently waited to buy my TWO bottles without incident and I was EXTREMELY grateful.

I’m guessing this change has to do with insurance purposes – I do remember the police+paramedics near the exit in 2010. No idea on the reason but perhaps someone got hurt (perhaps while being a drunken douche)?

We are lucky enough to have one day to celebrate this beer so let’s keep it civilized!

  14. sack says:

Could you expound on your ‘no loitering’ policy. Is there not going to be tents with food, no beer to buy and drink, no camraderie? Will we be able to get to the industrial park early and wait till we get in? I’m assuming that the number of bottles will be determined by production and tickets sold.

  15. Greg says:

Wow, never thought I’d be a complainer, EVER. But I took the 17th off work. I really wish you hadn’t posted the tickets were on sale that day :( .

Still hoping to get tickets again and looking forward to the day, it’s always a blast. Happy to see some extra steps for organization as the past couple years have unfortunately been tough to deal with for you guys, I’m sure.

And if the guy who gave me a sip of his sample the moment I got out of my car last year reads this, thanks again man, made my day!

  16. RandalG says:

Their silence is making me nervous.

  17. yock14 says:

Since there will be some people buying tickets for the admission who will be not be buying Darklord, I’m thinking there may be some left over. What will happen to the leftover Darklord?

The way I read it is that both tickets are eligible to buy DL, as long as two separate people are buying it. You can’t walk up with 2 tix expecting to get more, however if I bring my wife, we each can buy some.. Am I right?

  19. Mike S says:

:( When the FAQ said March 17th I was happy since I was off that day. I work Saturday the 19th :*(.

  20. Leapingknown says:

I live 8 miles away and I’m gonna give it a try again! Fingers crossed! Woohoo!

  21. Pudge43 says:

So I purchase tickets for the wife and I, do we each get our allotment with our tickets?

  22. David says:

Ahhh!!! I asked for the 17th off so I could get tickets, and I have to work on the 19th. Getting a Saturday off on short notice is impossible. I was planning on coming out for DLD, but now I’m not sure it’s going to happen.

  23. Lincoln says:

Yes. As long as you both show up and buy the beer.

  24. Lincoln says:

The loitering policy applies to the other business and their properties in the area. We are still going to have bands, food and guest drafts.

  25. Lincoln says:

    It is still Darklord Day.

  26. Lincoln says:

No. The allotment is per person that walks through the gates, not per ticket purchased.

  27. jon says:

How do you plan on regulating people who try to get more than 1 tickets worth of DL? What stops someone from buying 2 tickets, getting their allotment, taking it to their car, and then getting a second allotment later?

  28. redbird says:

    @Jon
They should go with the markers they used in the Iraq elections to prevent double ups. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_stain

  29. RandalG says:

They punch your ticket so they know you’ve used it.
So am I understanding it right that if I buy two tickets for my wife and I and we both go we get two tickets worth of DL,
Last year it was very crowded with people being able to hang out by there cars. If that’s not the case I don’t see how you are going to fit that many people on your property alone.
So if I purchase morning tickets will I be able to hang out all day or will we have to leave to make room for the afternoon ticket people?

  30. Rick Jamez says:

Many thanks to FFF for all the hard work the fellaz pour into DLD!! Not too mention fucking amazing beer they brew every year.

  31. JP says:

What other 3 Floyds offerings will be on sale that day?

  32. RandalG says:

Yeah after reading Barnaby’s interview I see more clearly where you guys are coming from. It’s just too bad you don’t have the means to let the event keep growing as I feel bad for the many that won’t get to come but really want to. Hopefully some day the time will come when that can happen.

  33. Glenn says:

Do we still get a sample glass of Dark Lord along with our allotment of bottles like in the past?

  34. bob says:

will everyone who wants a ticket be able to get one? or is the total number of tickets limited? thanks for doing this again!

  35. John says:

I think it sucks that people bought tickets to this event and then posted them on Stubhub starting at $120.00 bucks apeice. I tried to get tickets yesterday when they went on sale at 1pm. But apperently the non-beer lovers decide to make a buck, instead of keeping them open for us how wanted to experience DLD for ourselves.

  36. [...] UPDATE: Friday evening, this information was posted to the Three Floyds blog: [...]

  37. You guys suck. You let your tickets on some third party site so Stub hub can buy them all and resell them for literally 50 times the face value. You guys made this really gay since the first DLD
