Gold Crowns

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

If you go to your local beer store in the next few days and see some of our beers with gold colored crowns instead of our usual FFF crowns, please do not panic.  With our expanded production and long lead times on our custom crowns, we have had to supplement our normal design with plain ones until our orders can catch up to our production.  There is nothing different about these except for the fact that they are plain gold instead of normal Three Floyds.

That is all.

Hoosier Beer Geek reviews Apocalypse Cow

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

And they like it… I think.  A for effort guys.

Hello, I’m Vienna Schwarzencow, the bovine BGH muscle machine from Austria. I love all those BGH horomones and pumped up steroids we get to increase our milk and cheese production for the masses. Since I am extreme, I need for my beer to be extreme and out of the ordinary. I reach for FFF’s, you know, since they are not normal, just like a cow that types a message onto a beer blog or a cow that can pump out 40% more milk than nature intended.

In my house, Three Floyds beers are often referred to as the Cindy Crawford’s mole of the refrigerator because they’re always lurking there on the bottom shelf and turning me on in a weird way that I shouldn’t share with strangers on the internet.

Enjoy at your own risk.

Beer Festivals

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

We will not be attending Alefest this weekend despite reports in the Chicago Tribune, Timeout Chicago, and elsewhere.  Due to circumstances out of our control our name was attached to the list of attending breweries.  We apologize to our fans that expected to see us there.

In a perfect world we would go to all the beer festivals we could stand, however, we are still a small brewery and only have so many man hours.  You can look for us at the Green City Market Chef’s BBQ on July 16th.  We will also be at the Indiana Microbrewer’s Festival on the 18th.  And of course you will see us at Great Taste of the Midwest in Madison this August.
